Record Order Success
ITP Group have announced a flurry of orders from
the automotive industry totalling over £1.5million, all signed
within a two-month period. The company has received orders including
specialist inspection and milling machines to equip a newly
announced styling studio for a prestige car manufacturer in Gaydon,
Warwickshire.

Dick Turpin, managing director of ITP Group, said
that the contract was not just a significant coup for the company,
but in particular a sign that the automotive industry within the
Midlands was still very much alive – despite the recent high profile
losses of MG Rover in Longbridge and Peugeot’s Ryton plant. “We were
competing with several companies, all of which were based overseas.
The manufacturer in question is still viewed as something of a
British institution and it is very fitting that they chose a British
manufacturer for such a major contract.”
Remaining orders included similar automotive
styling systems for Bentley Motors, Crewe and Gordon Murray Design,
the newly established company headed by the Formula One legend
namesake.
Turpin added, “There
have been significant changes within the UK automotive sector in the
last year and it was imperative that we developed to meet new
demands. We’re hoping that our success can continue and that the
Midlands can remain as the UK heart of the industry.”
